Frequently asked questions
Still have questions? Contact us.
Is BamBuddies free to use?
Yes. The Free tier includes unlimited games, groups, chat, and discovery. We show small ads to keep it sustainable. The Ad-Free tier ($4.99/month) removes ads. See pricing for the full breakdown.
I can't sign in. How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter the email you used to sign up. We'll send a reset link. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or email hello@bambuddies.org and we'll reset it manually.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to
Profile → Settings → Delete Account. The action is permanent — your profile, games, groups, and messages are removed within 30 days, and your email is freed up for re-registration. If you can't access the app, email us and we'll process it manually.
How do I find games near me?
Open the Discover tab. We'll ask for location permission so we can show open games within 25 miles. You can also search by group or browse the full list. Not seeing any games? Start your own — the app walks you through it in three steps.
How do groups work?
Groups are private clubs for people who play together regularly — a weekly crew, a neighborhood, a company team. Join an existing group via invite code, or create your own in the Groups tab. Organizers can schedule games just for group members so they skip the public invite flow.
How do I report a player or message?
Tap the three-dot menu on any player's profile or message and choose Report. Tell us what's happening and we'll review within 24 hours. For urgent safety concerns, email hello@bambuddies.org with "URGENT" in the subject.
I declined an invite by accident. Can I undo it?
Go to the game from your Games tab or the original invite, and tap Join game again. If the game is now full, the organizer will see your request in their waitlist and can add you back.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet — Android is on the roadmap. In the meantime, the web app works great on Android browsers.
I run a mahjong club. Can BamBuddies host our games?
Yes — we support clubs, leagues, and community organizations. Get in touch via the contact form and we'll set up your organization.
