Steffi is the heart of BamBuddies, bringing the platform to life from the same tables that inspired it. A Mahjong instructor based in Atlanta, she organizes regular games across multiple friend groups — the kind of host who can turn any Tuesday night into a packed table. Her love of board games runs wide and deep, but Mahjong is where her heart lives. A mother of three and devoted wife, Steffi is a natural connector who believes the best moments in life happen face-to-face, ideally with snacks, laughter, and good company. She's also a passionate advocate for healthy living, and sees BamBuddies as a natural extension of what she's been doing for years: bringing people together around a shared love of the game.

Rebecca is a longtime Atlantan and devoted Mahjong player whose love for the game shapes everything BamBuddies stands for. Now an empty nester with her kids off chasing their own adventures, she's settled into a new chapter — slower mornings, creative afternoons, and the kind of meaningful connections that only a packed table can deliver. You'll find her gathered with friends over Mahjong or canasta, where the laughter matters as much as the score, or in the kitchen tending a sourdough starter she treats like an old friend. Crafting, lake days, and time with the people she loves round out the rhythm. For Rebecca, BamBuddies is more than a product — it's a way to make sure no one who loves the game ever has to play alone.

We believe the best games happen with friends
BamBuddies started because getting four players together for mahjong shouldn't require six group texts and a spreadsheet. We built the social organizing app we wished existed.

Our mission

Make organizing social games effortless so more people can play together more often. Start with mahjong, expand to all the games you love.

Why mahjong?

Mahjong brings generations together. It's social, strategic, and deeply connected to culture. The community deserves better tools.

Built by Caribou Games

BamBuddies is the first app from Caribou Games, a company building social tools for traditional games. Coming soon to other communities (bridge, poker, mahjong variants worldwide).
